May The Force Be With You

Our Science topic this Term was 'Forces', the children were learning about the different forces in our universe and how they affect us everyday as humans and objects around us! Class 1 took part in an experiment to investigate the effect of air resistance on their speed of running across the playground, which included running across the ball court with a bin bag ! The children also ran across the ball court without a bin bag to see which would be faster !

Here is a quick video on forces to keep you and your child updated on all the different forces !

For this half term we have been very fortunate to be joined by Mrs. Schofield - a specialist gymnastics coach. We have been working on different types of balancing in symmetrical and asymmetrical shapes. The children have really enjoyed working in groups to create their own superb balances using the apparatus!

 Glorious Gymnastics!
