Year 5 Trip to London
The Year 5 children had a fantastic time in London!
They started by visiting the Natural History museum. This is where they were able to view different artefacts that history has to offer. For example, the dinosaur models, blue whale, Volcano, and the earthquake centre! After that, the children were then taken to Covent Garden, where they visited the Fire & Stone Restaurant for a sit down meal. The children had a delicious pizza and ice cream.
It was then time for the children to go watch a West End Musical of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. The atmosphere was amazing and the children couldn't believe how good the actors/actresses were in the performance. They thought the show was incredible! Their favourite bit was when Mike TV went into the television and spoke in a little voice.
After a long day, it was time for the children to go back to the hotel for some well needed rest. Their rooms were lovely and they were impressed by the reception area. 4 * for Marsden children.
On the second day, the children were offered a huge breakfast spread, croissants, full English breakfast, cereal, etc. They were completely spoilt for choice.
The children went sight seeing around London, looking at all the major attractions. Pizza Express was then on the menu, this was where the children learnt how to make their own pizzas, that was then cooked for them to eat. This was very exciting as they were able to create their favourite pizzas!
The children went off for a trip on the London Eye, where they could look at London from a different view. They then experienced the 3D experience.
After an already busy day, the children went to visit the House of Parliament, where they were escorted around the whole building.
They were able to visit the House of Commons and the House of Lords. They learnt all about politics and the roles that they have to do daily. As well as learning about our Prime Minister, David Cameron. They had a workshop on how laws are made. They were so enthusiastic.
This was an amazing experience for these children, one that they will never forget. We are so proud of them all.
